Terra Sol™ was founded by designer Louise Sykes after recognising how little thought was given to the cups used every day. Coffee culture is deeply ingrained in modern life, yet millions of cups are thrown away daily without a second thought to what’s inside them. Until now, this hadn’t been questioned, not by cafés and not by the general public.
Louise saw a need to change that. She believed sustainable products deserved the same level of attention, creativity and emotion as the brands they serve.
Drawing on her background as an award-winning childrenswear designer, Louise set out to prove that sustainability could also be beautiful and that by combining science with design, it could capture attention and spark real change.
In just one year, Terra Sol™ has created a stir, earning award nominations, invitations to government working groups and partnerships brands who believe design can lead the way to a better future.
